halloween

Halloween was different this year. The sound and the smell were different. Even the little voices that said 'trick or treat' and a thank you after often reminded by a mother or father were different. It went fast and with in a three hour period before nightfall but after dusk, the hype was over and I awoke this morning with advertisements for Christmas.

A slight chill in the air and advertisements for Christmas. Two days ago it was summer in Texas, temperatures in the 90's and nowhere to go to escape the oppressive heat. This morning with a chill in the air, it is a feeling of Christmas. And somewhere I blinked or slept for too long for I do not remember time so quickly moving by as I sit waiting to eat my first piece of chocolate leftovers.
