florida bound

Hell, what happened to the days of getting a cheap hotel room (senior prom, remember?) partying like there was no tomorrow and then returning home? Who ever thought that I would take it to the extreme of HOPPING a plane, SMALL mind you and then a brand TED I have never heard of, spend SEVERAL BILLS for a hotel simply because I like the name, or like how the name looks in print and leave home (whatever that is) for six days not knowing WHAT or with WHO I am going to meet, spend time with and relate my story too…

All in the name of what?

kj,

To help you with your confusion, I switched Hospice about three (3) weeks ago per the advise of my treating physician and due to the mistakes that had been made regarding my medication. My new team is coming together and I have met with my administrator, rn, lvn, social worker...Yes a trip out of state. It is a misconception that someone who is terminal cannot travel, with doctor's permission ofcourse. It is my desire to travel as much as possible during the 'end stage' of my illness and I am supported by my medical and hospice team. Sadly, there will come a point when I am asked to remain homebound and no longer travel. Until then, IF and WHEN I am able, I WILL TRAVEL. It becomes an issue of QUALITY oF life.

Just wanted to give you a shout out since I haven't spoken to you in a while. Enjoy the balmy weather and pelicans and such.

Enjoy your trip Eric! I'm glad your spirit and flesh are both willing and able at the same time.

Do you recall me telling you about my friend Joey? His cancer was 'end stage' at the time I met him-over a year before he was killed in New York. And the way I heard it, he was helping his lawyer down the stairs, not the lawyer helping him, so define 'end stage', right? Joey did-his way, as you are.

Say hello to the pink flamingo for me:)
